Hedychium densiflorum 'Stephen' is one of the Ginger Lilies. Ginger Lilies are related to the 'true ginger' plant as can be surmised from the shape of their roots. 'Stephen' is a relatively slow-speading form which, if you are lucky, may repeat bloom. All Ginger Lilies require steady feeding and watering if they are to give their best. While the blooms of Ginger Lilies are not long-lasting their exotic foliage is a distinct bonus.
