Magnolia grandiflora is a splendid
tree which here in Devon grows quickly and flowers reliably. Both the foliage
and the flowers are a delight. The only regret is that it does not flower
more profusely and that the flowers are not strongly scented. Here at Southern
Comfort it forms part of the 'jungle'.
