| Cerinthe major from
Mediterranean Europe is the only annual at Southern Comfort. It is very
individualistic plant which seeds itself moderately. The dominant colour
of the flowers comes from the bracts which almost hide the light purplish
red tubular flowers below. The foliage is not without merit — pale
bluish green and almost succulent-looking. A plant to be recommended but
