| The various intensities of light
coupled with a richness of foliage types encourage the observer to peer
deeply into the shadows of a moist corner of the 'rainforest. The fronds
in the foreground are Dicksonia antarctica and in the background
Matteuccia struthiopteris; in the centre there is a variegated
hosta and to the right Rodgersia podophylla with a flower spike.
