Hedychium greenii
has the most impressive flower of all the ginger lilies which I know. Its
foliage is also suitably exotic-looking. Many ginger lilies are late flowerers
and this one flowers later than most; often it only just manages before
being shredded and torn by the winter gales. If it is not given enough compost/fertilizer
and water during the growing period it tends to sulk and disappoint. © Maciej Pomian-Srzednicki, 2013 22/10/2013 Telephone 01803 201813 |
