You could be forgiven for thinking that you are in the distant tropics and not looking across gardens in Meadfoot Sea Road. You obviously did not notice the telephone wires. This south-easterly view was photographed from a neighbour's house.  Main visible plants are (left to right): Phoenix canariensis, Eucalyptus niphophila pauciflora, copper beech (Fagus purpurea), Trachycarpus Fortunei, Musa basjoo, Acer palmatum atropurpureum and Catalpa bignonioides 'Aurea' coming into leaf.
